I have been following the whole series since it started a few years ago, and have been an avid viewer for all the countries they have shown.
I have seen the first two of this new one, Burma, so far. Part 3 will be aired Friday night in the UK. I hope the final one is better, as the first two has left me a little underwhelmed considering the size of the production team. I am not sure they put enough time in on the ground as they seem to struggle a to find really interesting subjects and seem to try and pump up small happenings.
Am hoping the last one is inclusive of the Burmese parks staff' views in the "recommendation". Even though I am a Brit and a fanboy for the BBC, theres a whiff of an old colonial attitude creeping into this series IMHO.
The third, and final, episode in this series is REALLY EXCELLENT! Well worth a look for any naturalist. I enjoyed it so much I watched it twice.
I do not buy the "its the Lisu" argument though. More Karen's were caught poaching in KK last week, lets not mix fuzzy feelings (even if well intentioned) with the realities of poaching and which minority groups have the relevant poaching expertise.
