Justice does seem possible in Thailand after all.

KANCHANABURI: The Supreme Court on Wednesday sentenced construction tycoon Premchai Karnasuta to a prison term of two years and six months for hunting in Thungyai Naresuan Wildlife Sanctuary nearly four years ago.The ruling was read out at Thong Pha Phum District Court on Wednesday morning.Premchai, 66-year-old president of Italian-Thai Development Plc, ]arrived at the court with a walking cane and a bandage over his left eye. The two other defendants in the case were also present at the court.

It says in the article that he has not been jailed but instead placed on electronic tag awaiting transfer to a jail.  This being Thailand, that seems very fishy to me and if I were him I would be cutting the tag off and getting out of Thailand on one of my private helicopters.
