Thai Rath report that a local Thai trekking guide in Pha Tai, Taton, Chiang Mai has been killed after multiple wasp stings, during a wasp attack whilst trekking with customers.

The customers, two French tourists, are currently hospitalized from stings incurred during the wasp attack.
