Another sad story.
And just when I'm about to go for a couple of days to Huai Kha Kaeng.
Maybe I should carry an AK-47 instead of my Nikon...

If I understood the news of this afternoon/ evening correctly, it seems like they've caught one of the poachers, today. His wife and son emotionally saying goodbye while their husband/ father is being arrested, but maybe he should have thought about that beforehand.

I know there are lots of poor people with few other options than relying on the forest to maintain their families, but I believe these people are not carrying AK-47's and leaving a trail of poisoned animals: Langur, Palm Civet, Macaque, Binturong, and Wild Boar as shown on the map in the news article.

Hopefully justice will be done.

Heartbreaking news, let's hope the rest of the lowlifes are caught and either exterminated or made extreme examples of. Thereby setting an example to any other would-be wildlife criminals that Thailand will not tolerate these illegal activities.

Very upsetting. Is there further news on the two seriously injured rangers?
