Bangkok, 19 August, 2021 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) would like to announce that the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) has reopened 60 of its 155 national parks nationwide starting from this month until further notice.

Mr. Thanya Netithammakul, DNP Director General, said in the official announcement that the reopening of national parks would help minimise the impact of the COVID-19 restrictions for local businesses and communities around the parks. However, he stated that parks are allowed to reopen under the conditions that strict public health measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection are in place. According to the DNP, below is the list of national parks that are open to visitors as of 18 August, 2021. This may change without prior notice, so travellers are recommended to revisit the list regularly updated by the National Park Office via this link, or its Facebook page: National Parks of Thailand.
