Namtok Mae Surin is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the whole of Thailand. It is located in the Namtok Mae Surin National Park in Mae Hong Song, Northern Thailand.

Many people visit the view point only because it is right next to the camp ground BUT you can also trek down to the base on the waterfall. Its about a 200 meter drop and hurts the calfs a lot on the way back but its easy enough for a great view of this fall that many dont take the effort to see.

The two diagrams below give you:

a) the location of the falls (the little blue flag) - most people visit in late October early November as the Bua Thawng fields are next to this site.
b) A view of the trail to the view point (100 meters from the car park) and to the waterfall base (about a two hour round trip including a rest)
