Streak-eared Bulbul (Pycnonotus blanfordi)

We have this small pair of birds nesting 3 meters from our gas stove. Very interesting to follow so closely.
The closest I can come to an identification is some type of Bulbul.
The male and female looks the same.
The only "singing" I have heard sounded like drrrdrrrdrrrdrrr.

I think it might be Streak-eared Bulbul (Pycnonotus blanfordi).

A new shot from this afternoon.
Within 24 hours they got feathers.

What a great sequence Bo. Afraid I am no good with bird IDs though.

Think your ID is right, the adult does have streaks.
But as you have probably already seen there are a bunch of bulbul species in the bird books that are very similar to eachother.

Bulbuls can be tough to identify - especially the 'drab' brown ones! But you have a nice close, clear image here that makes it easier. Those subtle streaks on the cheek give it away as you have suggested - it's definitely Streak-eared Bulbul.
