I found the Baya weaver all of a sudden in the neighbor's garden in a PHYLLANTHUS ACIDUS (Otaheite gooseberry) working like hell and scratching off material from my FOXTAIL PALM (Wodyetia bifurcata). Unfortunately I'm not enough equipped to take photo's from birds with my 70-300 mm. lens.
Their nests are better arranged then those from the Golden weaver.
Nice shots mistifarang.
I see the Baya weavers in the same areas as the Golden weavers.
The Golden weavers are in greater numbers, and usually build their nests in shubs or small trees.
The Baya weaver build their nest in taller trees and seems a lot more shy than the golden.
