We got a rare visitor to one on our cameras last month. Birds are very rare for us to capture, even terrestrial birds. It was surprise to see a bird of prey, who seemed fascinated by either his/her reflection or the flash. No bait in the area either so not sure why we got the visit - pity about the focus.

My guess would be Changeable Hawk Eagle, but I have to say I get easily confused with all the raptors.
Indeed a shame the focus is off but otherwise a great capture!

Ahh I see Bootly66 was up early and looking at the same picture and replying at nearly the same time as me, haha.
Since he is more into birds, I guess his judgement is probably better than mine.

I must admit my first thoughts were Changeable Hawk Eagle and I'm still not 100% sure.. shame the picture didn't capture the whole wing span, that would help, also the absence of the yellow cere points towards it being CH Eagle... Great capture though..
