Seems the environmental protection crowd says its OK and they will watch what happens......So they will be the first to know of any environmental disaster.

Haha, watch the egg-laying habits of the birds during construction...
And then?
When they find out that the construction strongly affects the egg-laying habits? They will cancel the whole project after they probably already finished big parts of the whole traject? Or they will make a loop around the lake?

Just like anywhere else in the world, politicians will always choose economy over nature conservation. It will never change. Let's just ruin it all and hopefully that makes us humans go extinct a bit faster so that nature can spend a few million years to clean up the mess we left and start all over with a new set of creatures.
