Tickell's Brown Hornbill (Anorrhinus tickelli)

The Tickell's Brown Hornbill (Anorrhinus tickelli), also known as the Rusty-cheeked Hornbill, seen in Kaeng Krachan at Panoenthung last week. I normally don't photograph birds but I do hanker after a shot of one of the more exotic hornbills, I could not resist these as they were visiting a tree right next to where I was lying on the ground panting and trying to get my breath after walking the trail back from Tor Thip

Nice picture of a not so commonly seen bird!
I recently found a nesting site in KY but still haven't returned to get some pictures. I'm running out of time before I go home to Europe for a long family visit. The nesting season will be over when I get back in Thailand. Well, next year another chance, I guess...

Nice shots again, I don't believe I have ever seen this type of hornbill. Looks like you got a fairly decent window of opportunity for these shots. nice work!
