I am a confirmed nerd! Seeing this leaf mimic katydid was the highlight of my weekend. Its the first time I have ever seen one and it alone would have made the 6 hour round trip to Kaeng Krachan worth it for me, even if I had seen nothing else. I was well chuffed.

Systella dusmeti, of the genus Systella, a short-horned grasshopper/katydid of the family Trigonopterygidae.
