Is this kapok tree? was created by malamala
I have a photo of only a branch, but it has very distinctive spines.
Would it be kapok?

Its a liana of some kind. They are very prevalent on limestone karst in the west of Thailand.

No, the Kapoktree (Bombax Ceiba) is completely "thorned"
