Lizard Nam Nao NP was created by Robby L
Back from our latest trip to the north-east and going through the photos this was taken on a pine tree close to the youth camp at Nam Nao NP our first stop.

Picking it to be a Varanus sp possibly a Clouded Monitor. Confirm or deny please.

Will do reports on the places we visited when I get through the photos.

I was in Naam Nao last month and just as I was about to disappear into the forest to the do the 5Ker when I saw your tent. I went off to do the 5K circle as it was about 1 pm already, but when I got back you had already moved on! Hope to see you there one day ;+)

You chose a good afternoon to move on though -it rained so bad that night I was soaked all night - terrible nights sleep.

Sorry we missed you Paul but not sorry we missed the rain we moved on to Phu Suan sai.

Only stayed 2 nights at Nam Nao as I wanted to have a go at getting good photos of the Neglected Nuthatch which I had sen on a previous visit and to put the trail cam down Ban Paek track, nothing on the trail cam and missed out on the nuthatch. No mammel sign on Ban Paek but lots of birds.
