× Over 400 species of birds are known to occur within the Park’s boundaries, and 57 mammals. Larger mammals include elephant, gaur, sambar deer, banteng, serow, and bear, indo-chinese tiger, leopard, both common and Fea’s muntjac. Malayan tapir, white-handed gibbon, dusky and banded langurs, Asian wild dog, otter, and wild boar.

In late April 2016 I visited one of the 'stakeouts' just outside Kaeng Krachan NP and due to the extremely dry weather the mammal/bird activity was very high. We sat in the hide for about three hours (from 3pm-6pm) and saw over 20 species of bird and five mammal species ( Indochinese Ground Squirrel, Grey-bellied Squirrel, Western Striped Squirrel, Northern Treeshrew & Lesser Mousedeer. A 2.5m King Cobra also came in for a drink at one stage!

Its surreal really, outstanding by surreal. its like an animal fest.

PS I will post some instructions on posting videos - the process is simple but not very simple to work out from the menu pull down which is quite confusing - it took me a few goes to master it.
