I am well known at the Niks repair centre for being hard on my cameras, but on a trip to Khao Yai I may have outdone even my own high standards of abuse:

I think this is the first time in a long while that I have been without a camera as my main body is in for repairs, as well, at the moment.

Ouch!
How did it happen?
Tried to photograph an elephant from a low angle?

I accidently dropped it, from quite a height. Looks as though it will be retired to a camera trap after patching up as its not financially viable to repair it fully.

The flash survived OK, the lens seems to be OK (fingers crossed), the poor camera took the brunt of the impact.
