The Similan Islands will reopen on October 15 after their long closure. No camping on the islands will remain in force and visitor numbers will be limited in line with the new philosophy of the DNP on NP visitors.

Total visitors per day is set at 1700 whilst total divers (scuba) per day is set at 500. The visitor numbers still seem quite excessive considering the majority of tourist day boats visa the same locations. The lack of tourism currently will further help control the number of visitors.
